Most tracking apps are a rear view mirror. They tell you what your sleep was, what your steps were, what your mood was. Tulsy uses the same daily signals to forecast the energy you are likely to have tomorrow, and to explain why.
The difference between logging and forecasting
Logging answers what happened. Forecasting answers what is coming. That distinction matters because you cannot reschedule a hard meeting after you have already had the flat afternoon.
Tulsy builds a picture from the inputs you record each day, then projects forward. When the forecast dips, it names the contributors: a short night, an accumulated stress load, a phase shift in your cycle, a run of poor recovery.
What you log, and how long it takes
Tulsy is manual by design. Around thirty seconds a day is enough for the model to work with.
- Sleep duration and how rested you felt
- Energy and mood through the day

- Movement and training load
- Cycle phase, symptoms and anything unusual
Why manual logging beats a wearable here
Wearables estimate. They infer sleep stages from movement and heart rate, and they were largely validated on male physiology. Your own report of how a day felt is a direct signal rather than an inference, and it captures things no strap can see: a difficult conversation, a skipped meal, a change in medication.
There is also a privacy argument. Nothing streams in from a device you cannot inspect, and your data stays private and encrypted.
Using the forecast
The point of an energy forecast is scheduling. Put the demanding work where the capacity is, protect the low days, and stop reading a flat Tuesday as a personal failure when it was three nights of five hour sleep.
